User Guide Series: Homer and Jean Blair Collection of United States Patent Models Automatic Gate Latch

Automatic Gate Latch, U. S. Patent 226,577, April 13, 1880, Albert F. Webb and John L. Duncan, Franklin, Indiana.

This invention is a slightly tilted gate that unlatches and latches when a vehicle passes over trip rods.

The model is 9" x 9" x 5". It is made of brass with a wood base. The model is attractive and in excellent condition. A Patent Office filing tag remains.
