The Intellectual Property
Library services the needs of the students, faculty and members of the Law
Center Library. It fills requests nationally for interlibrary loans
through the OCLC service. Services are also available for a fee for
all others requesting intellectual property information. Services include
document delivery, reference and research.
Professor Cavicchi provides research instruction to both J.D. and M.I.P.
students through an introductory Legal Skills course and a nationally unique
Intellectual Property Research Tools course which teaches the multiple access
points for primary and secondary legal authority as well as patent, trademark
and copyright searching. Representatives from the major Intellectual
Property database producers visit the class and provide the most up to date
information and training available on these online and CD-ROM products.
